Description One of the most popular photo spots in Colorado, I tried to take a different approach to a place that's been shot like crazy. Many times I see the lake as the focus, or the reflection of the mountains in the lake. Instead I put the emphasis on the mountains and the sky.

Artist Statement Currently a student at the University of Oregon and photographer in Eugene, Zach finds his inspiration from the beautiful landscape that surrounds him in the Willamette Valley.

Jumping into the world of Digital Photography in late 2008, Zach learned some of the ins and outs of the digital world on a Nikon D60. Quickly outgrowing that model, Zach jumped up to a Nikon D300 to match his growing dream of becoming a professional photographer.

Not long after, Zach began experimenting with High Dynamic Range (HDR) photography. This unique style allows a piece to have detail throughout, instead of focus being on one particular field. These images are unique in that they are both hyper-realistic and surreal. Through this form of photography, Zach's photography popularity began to increase; it'sled to work with an ad campaign at Travel Lane County as well as future commercial work with Axiom Advertising (Chicago, IL).

In the future, Zach hopes to dive deeper into the advertising world with a focus on commercial photography. He's also currently planning a world trip, in which he hopes to hone his craft and document the world through HDR.
