Artist Statement I was born in 1966 in Thessaloniki, Greece. I became an officer of the Hellenic Army in 1985 and retired as a Colonel in 2011. I started to develop a passion for photography around 1993, in Northern Greece where I was stationed for 3 years. I was introduced to photography by a colleague who already was a photo enthusiast. I took a photography and dark room course at the local N.E.L.E.

I have been taking photographs for over 16 years, although I became serious about my photography in the last couple of years.

I like photographing places and cities, landscapes and famous landmarks and people. I always shoot raw to allow for post-processing. I like my images to reflect reality and I really want to convey what I was feeling and what motivated me to lift the camera and take the shot. So my post processing is limited to basic corrections and maybe some cropping.
