Artist Statement My name is Carolyn, and I am 20 years old. I love art, especially abstract. I use different types of media, including colored pencils, markers, and paint. I might even put some photographs up when I'm able to get a good digital camera. I also like to write, so a few of my drawings have haikus written on them. I get inspiration from all kinds of different places. Food, random objects, my pets, movies, cartoons, my significant other, my family, etc. I'm not usually serious, but I can be when I need to be. I love to joke around. Some of my art is kind of dark, but some of it is just for fun. After all, why be an artist if you can't enjoy it?
