Description Classic corner apartment balcony above the shops in New Orleans French Quarter. The Pedesclaux-Lemonnier House on Royal St. is one of the tallest original buildings in New Orleans old quarter (aka The French Quarter). Designed by famous New Orleans Architect, Bartholom Lafon (one of my relations) around 1795 for Pierre Pedesclaux (a prominent Notary). The top 3 floors have remained virtually unchanged for 300 years (the ground floor houses retail space and has been refaced a number of times).
