Artist Statement Hello fellow artists permit me to introduce myself to you. My real name is Kelly. I do however go by the stage name "GAVIN when I am performing in front of 500 people in concert. Let me fill you in about my passion for creating still images. I am originally from Sunny Southern California. Went to Pasadena High School and Pasadena City College. My passion at that time was MUSIC. I wanted to be a singer. Country singer at that. Moved out to Nashville back in June of 1993. Been here ever since. Started my own Visual Effects Company called "Dreamscape Production Studios" back in 1996. Wasn’t as successful as I would have dreamed it to be. Things take time and you need to have patience. Yup, I had patience. Kept that company in operation for 7 years. Had a few projects here and there nothing really really to write home about. Had Animators come and go. Soon Dreamscape Production Studios withered away. Took a break for 2 years to work on my music. Building a recording studio in-house. Working on perfecting my craft. Yes during the down times I back-slid to my fx world. Started up yet another company this time based on the reality of the visual effects community. "3CGFX Animation Studios" was born. With this name I have received numerous projects. Opportunity to work on a Paramount Pictures feature along with Sony Imageworks. If you are curious to see what I did for this movie go here. Http://www.3cgfx.com/flood.html. Working on another feature called "Apocalypse: Opening of the 7th Seal" And possibly "Stone With seven eyes" Speculating this will be the Mummy with Brendan Fraser. Ventured back into the studio to record cover songs to get my voice and talent out on the market. Met up with some big name writers and producers. Went into the studio, started working on my album called "This Love Can" Soon to be released. Once during the down-time I go back into the visual effects realm. And if you looked at my current gallery, those are current. More will be uploaded soon. I'm heading back into the studio to complete the album.
