Artist Statement I retired some time ago after 36 years in the California school system, 32 of them in San Francisco, as an English teacher, school librarian, and writer of educational proposals.

I have a wife, one daughter and one grandson. I am a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. I used to act, write, and direct in local little theater, but in recent years I have put my energy into computer-related activities. My digital prints are often displayed at the gallery of the Marin Society of Artists in Ross, California, where I am a member.

(I am not the celebrated photographer of the same name who is noted for his aerial photographs. He has or rents an airplane. I don't.
