Artist Statement Born in the North West of England in the 1960's, I've spent the last 40 years travelling the world observing culturally different perspectives. Old Europe, Soviet Europe, North America and the Zen like Kansai region in Japan have been favorite haunts. All influence my narrative. I'm always looking for an atmosphere that pops. A different opinion.

Creating the abstract from the banal is a passion. People, artifacts, nature. The world as we see it with a twist. Originally armed with a Kodak Instamatic, I graduated to an Olympus OM1. and seriously under processed Ilford XP1. The results were different. Interesting. The Canon EOS I now use gives me the flexibility I need. I can still push it to do crazy things.
