The athletes in the Summer Games may have the athletic ability to win gold, but
do you have the imagination and skill it takes to win the Imagekind Summer Games?
Over the next two weeks three events will be held to test the creative endurance
of the Imagekind Community. Submit your own work or nominate another’s art to compete
in each of our different events (themes). Winners will be announced on August
22nd.
Themes are purposely abstract and you are free to interpret what each theme means
to you, just make sure we can understand why it fits by offering a brief description
of the work when you share it with us.
Plus, just by entering the competition your image is eligible to be featured in
our soon-to-be-released
Sample Kit.
A gold, silver and bronze medal will be awarded for each event. All Winners will
be featured on our homepage, in an upcoming email newsletter and will win other
great prizes! Gold medalists will each get a $50 gift card, plus the glory of being
crowned best of Imagekind. In addition to being featured on the homepage, Silver
and Bronze winners will receive a small print of their work.

Get your creative juices flowing, because here are the 3 different events inspired
by the Olympic Summer Games in Beijing:
Unity - Coming together for a common cause drives athletes (ok
and a little competition) as well as our everyday activities. What do you visualize
when you think of Unity? Send us your work that best shows what Unity means!
Pushing the Limits - Some parts of the competition are about pushing
through the pain. Show us an image that shows the grit of competition or of life
and pushing through it to get the result you want.
Speed - Is it better to dash to the finish line, or does slow and
steady win the race? Whether it’s your technique or the subject of your piece, the
timing is everything.

1. Submit the image by using the "Email a Friend" option in the "Share" function.
Email them to contests@imagekind.com. We will then contact the artist to ask for
a submission.
2. Ask the artist through the internal Imagekind email system.
From all of the nominations, a team of esteemed judges will select the top contenders.
Then deciding the winner is back in the hands of the Imagekind Community (aka YOU).
Visit our blog the day after each competition closes to rate the top entries.
Winners of each theme will be determined by the 3 works of art which receive the
most votes.

1) How do I submit my work?
Use the "Email a friend" option using the "Share" function. The share function is
found underneath the image in the bottom right corner. Please include a short description
of how your image fits the theme/event for which you are entering the work.
2) How do I nominate another artist for the contest?
Use the "Email a friend" option using the "Share" function. Include a brief note
about why you are nominating it. You may also contact the artist directly via the
Imagekind messaging system, and let them know you think their image is awesome!
3) Can I submit a photograph? Can I submit a painting?
You can submit any media type! We are hoping to get a wide variety of images. Any
media that you can put on Imagekind is accepted.
4) Oops! I submitted the wrong image! Can I switch?
Unfortunately, once you submit an image, then that’s it! So please choose which
one carefully.
5) I’m not an Imagekind member. Can I enter the contest?
Only Imagekind members are eligible to enter the contest, but it’s easy to
sign up for a free account!
6) How do I vote for an image?
Voting will take place by visiting the Imagekind Blog. Keep checking back to see
the results, and to vote in the next event!
7) How will I know if I have won?
The finalists will be featured on the blog. After the voting period, we will contact
the winners via email so that they can claim their prizes!
8) I have a question that isn’t answered here.
Feel free to write us at contests@imagekind.com for any other questions! If you
have a question not related to the contest, please write our customer support team
