Artist Statement I've been interested in photography since my school days where I was introduced to developing my own black and white photographs.
Much later I bought a Minolta 7000 which was one of the first Autofocus SLR cameras available for not too much money. I went to night school and learnt more about photography, read books, continued to develop my own B & W films, print B & W and Cibachrome from transparencies and develop my own transparencies too.
I don't really have a subject matter that I am really keen on, but I do like difficult contrasty lighting and hence I feel that my photographs often fail to depict what I was trying to capture.
Now that I have a digital camera maybe some post processing will change that.
Meanwhile I want to continue to see the world with curiosity and a sense of awe.
That's me!
