Description this simple graphic design art print is a tribute to the spartan hoplite.A hoplite was a citizen-soldier of the Ancient Greek City-states. They were primarily armed as spear-men and fought in a phalanx formation. The word hoplite (Greek: hoplits; pl. hoplitai) derives from hoplon (, plural hopla ), the type of the shield used by the troopers, although as a word hoplon could also denote weapons held or even full armament.
