DescriptionSimple form matched with intimate detail. Stand far off and take in the simple organic shape come closer, move in travel around the large stems pointing straight outwards. Look through the transparencies and tell me what you see. E-mail me your comments!I have used light and shade and reflection to allow the light and shadow to bounce of different parts of the objects. The transparencies allow for the inside to affect the outside and the opposite to occur.Basically you can spend ages working your self through the piece.I hope you gain something from this!SignedKC
Robin Muirhead, Manchester Member Since December 2007 Artist Statement "Art is for everyone! That's why I love it. We all choose our media and our styles and techniques. I began with traditional media, paper and pencil, and moved through to colour and paint and on to deconstruction and close analysis. Art can take you in many directions, the trick is to observe and be ready to try it. Who knows which path it has waiting for me next? I trained as an artist at Art school in Manchester studying art and design, art and crafts, fine art and ceramic design. Then after some time I discovered digital art and realized that I could tie all the above media together if I so wished. I love walking in the countryside and discovering what nature has to show me. Sometime it's in the broad display of colours and shape, other times it's in the minute detail and abstractness of nature. I use traditional and digital media to collect information plus of course the vast catalogue that is my memory."
