Artist Statement Schooner Cove Gallery is owned and operated by artist Janet Couper.
Janet has chosen art as her retirement career in anticipation of leaving the practice of medicine. Since 2002 she has been exploring the creative aspect of her nature. Always an avid photographer, she began to take the art seriously and established Schooner Cove Photography. In 2009 she ventured into the world of painting and in 2014 opened an art gallery located in a renovated century home overlooking scenic Schooner Cove in Nova Scotia.
Here she shares some of her favourite travel photography, obscure artistic images and photographic images of a variety of her original paintings.
