Artist Statement Painting, for me, is an attempt to express what I've been touched by in some way, and a means of sharing with others. Some of my work at this time is representational, and some is inspired by dreams, thoughts and imagination. These paintings are often an effort to portray my path of healing and transformation, as well as my deep appreciation and love of nature.
I value all kinds of art and am amazed by the endless ways in which people express themselves. It's impressive to me to see what we can accomplish through our creativity, diversity, concepts and perceptions. It seems that art in all its various forms brings us together as it helps us appreciate our differences, and also reveals to us what we have in common.
