Artist Statement I'm a senior at Northern Michigan University in Marquette, MI located in the beautiful Upper Peninsula. Most of my pictures are taken in Michigan and they capture the serenity of the Northern forests and the captivating sites of the forgotten woods.

Taking pictures is more than capturing an image everybody sees. It's about creating personality through the lens; I chose nature to represent my changing emotions, life, and career. . . I hope you find something in this world to create and express who you are.

My best friend was killed in a car accident in February and in his honor I decided to take my photography to the next level. The proceeds of my pictures will go towards my education.

I'm studying Outdoor Recreation Leadership and Management and someday hope to reach out to at risk youth by showing them the beauty of the land, encouraging teamwork & communication, practice team building, and most of all to love yourself. In the rules of the outdoors, one must take care of self before they can take care of others.

I enjoy photography and have never thought of selling my pictures before his accident. I'm looking up and finding different inspirations to keep his story and spirit alive, I hope my images encourage you to find the beauty in nature and in yourself.
