Artist Statement I love art. I have been drawing and painting every since I was a young boy. I live in Utah a beautiful part of the country with a wide variety of climates, and landscapes. Art is so much fun that I could not conceive that one could make a living doing it, so I became a quasi social worker. I do social work but my collage degree is in psychology. I am a grandpa at this time I have five children and 12 grandchildren. Much of my spare time is spent in the desert or in the mountains, and national parks painting landscapes. I try to make the enjoyment of these forms a private restorative experience. One day when I felt the challenges of my social work case load I travel up High way 80 to Park City for a conference. As I travel up the canyon it felt like the cares of the world left me the more altitude I gained. I try to capture this quality of peace for those who view my paintings, people and animals are rare in my paintings. If your are in Utah you can see my paintings at the Local Colors of Utah Gallery or check them out on WWW.localcolorsart.com.
