Description The Lake at Mount Stewart, an 18th-century house and garden in County Down, Northern Ireland, now owned by the National Trust. The house and grounds are situated on the east shore of Strangford Lough, a few miles outside the town of Newtownards and near Greyabbey. Stephen Maxwell, Bangor, County Down Member Since August 2008 Artist Statement I returned to photography and the digital age in the early 2000s after a break of about 18 years. I enjoy the immediacy of digital photography and I am not averse to post production work on an image. I enjoy walking and travelling and have my camera with me a s a consequence of these activities. Photography is a means of relaxation and I enjoy it for itself. I am glad that others enjoy, comment upon and even purchase my work.
