Artist Statement Hi, I am Linda Carroll. I am a purely passionate talented self taught artist that would have loved to attend a fine art school. I write, I draw, I paint, I airbrush, I photograph and fix them too. Once someone had said, "Just pick one medium, you can't be good at everything." It was like hearing, Oh, just stifle yourself!" I love learning, can't seem to get enough of it. The only way to learn is to try, the only way to succeed is to go for it. I think the passion inside me, the love of art that is within me, leaves me no choice. When computers came around, I learned that too and went from a working artist to a computer artist geek. That is how I make my living today. No matter what I do, where I am, who I am with, all I have to do is see that hue or shade, texture or pattern and my mind is off and running on my new secreat project. Just speaking with someone, holding a conversation, I may appear to be attentive and caring, when all the while, I am studying the inside of their nostral, tear ducts or the flakes of their iris and how it's color tone changes with the turn of the head. No matter, even this little yellow peice of space they have given me to type on must be decorated with something unique.
