Margret Leopoldsdottir, Hafnarfjordur, Iceland Member Since October 2007 Artist Statement Mold is my professional artist name. It is the first letters in my name Margret Oddny Leopoldsdottir / Margrét Oddný Leópoldsdóttir and a D. The D can stand for design or dreamy or delightful or... I'm an educated and trained artist but an amateur photographer. I take far more pictures in my head than in reality. I’m constantly framing interesting sights. It’s a meditation or an obsession. Since I joint the flikr community I have started to take my photography seriously and I am happy and grateful for the response my photos have got on flickr. My subjects are mostly landscape and nature in general, color and often ordinary things in every day life (or travel) in a interesting composition or angle, texture and patterns.
My cameras are: Pentax K10 DSLR, Pentax PZ-70 film SLR and Pentax K1000 film SLR. From time to time I do develop my black and white films myself and print them as-well the old fashion way in a darkroom.
You can buy my photos as prints, framed prints or canvas prints here on ImageKind. But if you would like to buy them to use in advertisements or books etc. contact me through my website: http://www.leopold.is/margret
