Artist Statement I have been involved in the arts world for 30 years as a teacher, singer and stage director mostly in the mountain west. I started an interest in photography when my wife purchased a used camera a decade ago. Since then I have worked on my technique and trying to discovering the gifts nature and experience have given me. The natural world is one of my prime interests particularly the grizzly bear. Yellowstone and Glacier national parks as well as the national forests of Wyoming and Montana have given me plenty of opportunities to capture the power and beauty that these animals possess as well as many of the other inhabitants of the wild and the incredible vistas and flora that is the american west. I hope in these galleries you may find moments of the serenity and awe I felt in real time.
