Vincent Stone, Keizer Member Since April 2013 Artist Statement I have trained with reverse glass-painter Dave Archer (though he probably wouldn't admit it). In the mid 90's I became engaged in a romantic relationship with a prominent art gallery in San Francisco that sold over fifty original artworks to collectors around the world. Each time a painting sold, I felt like I was loosing one of my babies. That’s what I love about prints! I still paint, an I am currently a Christian Minister and Pastor. I guess, this doesn’t effect my work much. If anything, my work has gotten darker. God gave me the means to express my personal feeling through art, and as Dave Archer once said about me “he can’t not do it,” referring to me painting, and he was right.
Currently, I am studying the art of lost wax bronzing––though the Federally-funded school I attend has cut classes down to one term annually even though each time the class if offered, student fill it up faster than Nancy Pelosi can restock her Vaseline supply at Walgreens on a Friday night!
I have a gallery in order to sell my original artwork. Jeffrey Steele is my art consultant and personal friend. Though shipping costs are always fun to pay, but this is a site for prints, and Imagekind are great publishers, and they’re fast. You can view my gallery on my website homepage through the “PRINTS” link tab.
I also have several art coffee table books for sale. The link to find them is on my website homepage under the “PUBLICATIONS” link tab.
Thank you for taking time to view my space on imagekind.com!~ God be with you...unless you're an atheist or agnostic, then I would have to say God’s love for you is not based on your understanding of Him. Look out for the blinding light of a Supreme Being who actually cares about you–aside from the butcher job we religious people have inflicted on God’s reputation. God has a lot to do with inspiration and art. On this day, let’s look for Him there instead of a book.
God be with you,
Pastor Vincent Stone
