Artist Statement Paul Rowland has worked for most of his adult life as a graphic designer. He learned his trade in the busy print industry back in the days before computers where Cow Gum, hot wax and a scalpel were equally as important to a designer as a pencil or a Rotring pen and a drawing board.

Following a brief spell working in an advertising agency Paul had a 20 year career as a self employed jack-of-all trades covering graphic design; web design; cartoonist; book illustrator; photographer; writer; publisher; Internet marketer; author; artist; genealogical researcher (including research for radio and three episodes of the BBC's award winning TV series, "Who Do You Think You Are?" for the celebrities, Alistair McGowan, Rupert Penry-Jones and Billy Connolly - look out for his name at the end of those episodes.) He also appeared on the Entrepreneur TV Channel in 2008 discussing Internet Marketing.

As a writer Paul has been commissioned to write articles for several magazines over the years including Burkes' Peerage online magazine and Your Family Tree Magazine. He founded, designed, wrote, edited and published The Indiaman Magazine for over 18 years from 1996 - 2014.
