Description Where Winged Horses Fly was inspired by the song 'In the Sea' by America for the animated movie 'The Last Unicorn'. Original drawing is 19'x24' and was completed using graphite pencils on Bristol Board.

Artist Statement Drawing has always been a hobby of mine and has come naturally to me. I am mostly self taught, but have taken a variety of art classes. Friends, family and strangers alike have requested artwork from me through the years. My main subject is horses, but I also enjoy drawing other subjects such as cats, dogs, wildlife, nature, and mythical creatures. I utilize the pencil as I've always liked the feel of them and the textured effect they create on paper. They blend well and a nice sharp pencil is my best friend. The range of pencils I utilize varies from H - 8B, to the soft colored pencils of Prismacolor. The paper that I draw on also varies, but my personal favorites are Bristol Board and Illustration Board.
