Artist Statement I graduated from California State College at Long Beach with a major in Art Ed. For the last five years I've spent the summers sailing on Lake Michigan in a 16' Newport Lockley. Water and clouds have become an alluring subject with their many moods, patterns, rhythms. Energy merges as light, wind, water dance and create magic. Watercolor on illustration board is a media that can evolve into interesting textures and transparencies.

On 11/8/13 my water paintings were awarded a Second Place Ribbon at the Brighton Art Guild's Art Show.

In 2018 I began doing historical drawings and paintings i.e. a 25' brown paper scroll of women warriors, an 18' scroll of women left out of history, a 42' drawing of women who fought for equality for decades and a painting in 2020 that celebrates the organizing of groups by women and the coming together of those groups to empower each other.
