Artist Statement Mother of 2 beautiful creations. Wife to my soul mate. Lover of art and all things beautiful. Singer of lullabies. Passionate coffee drinker. My whole life I have always wanted to be an artist. Inspired by my Grandmother Helen Barrus. I never went to art school. I wanted to, but it's much to expensive. Instead I had children, and make art at midnight when all is calm. Besides my Grandmother, my biggest art influence has always been Richard Stine. I have some of his early original paintings hanging on my walls. They have been in my family since their creation. They have always provided comfort, memories of home no matter where I might be, and inspiration. One day I wish to create a children's book...or many.
