Description An Abstract using earth tones predominately. There are many layers of color overlapping one another, creating new tones in the process. The shapes provide order and structure on a simple level with out taking away from the organic color palette of the painting. This would be best printed on canvas.
Keith Benedict, Kahului Member Since November 2007 Artist Statement Your kidding? You mean you're actually taking time out to read this. Well....Thanks for the interest. Most of my friends would peg me as the artistic or creative type. I keep telling them that we all are the "creative" type. I think it's more about allowing yourself to pursue what you would define as aesthetically appealing.
This is where I show my artwork, due to the fact that imagekind has so many options for printing. My pieces generally are abstract or photo derived. I've been doing abstracts off and on for many years. Working in the digital domain is relatively new but has re-inspired my interest in painting. Another new tool I like to employ is being able to use photo's directly to produce paintings. So far my favorites of this type have been portraits or trees.
