Artist Statement Photographer since 1988, attending photography school Italian Fashion Genoa.
I formed professionally following workshops with internationally renowned photographers such as Andreas Bitesnich, Mimmo Jodice and Kent Koberteen of National Geographic.
In 2000 I won the first prize Pentax - Photo Italy.
My photographs have been published in several magazines in Italy and abroad and used on album covers national and international.


My interest in photography started in the late 80’ with the charming analogue film development and printing in the darkroom, to get up to date with the new digital technologies.
I currently work with both systems as needed.

I create my images with more traditional systems such as Canon and Leica M6 but my visions through large systems Lomography Holga Lens meniscus, plastic or glass; the lens is full of chromatic aberration and vignetting, with the camera at risk of infiltration of light. The plastic lens produces images of low sharpness and clarity than glass. The glass lens in each case, as for the plastic lens, has a strong and progressive loss of quality that is distributed from the center toward the edges. But both offer a perspective that appears natural and pleasing to the eye. This is caused by the optical scheme meniscus. The overall result is an image plastic, muffled, dreamlike, retro and full of atmosphere.

Realizable also my pictures with the camera pinhole, that's because I find the light image of an extraordinary purity; the light is not filtered and contaminated by the lens.
In the history of photography, the camera obscura has been definitely the first proven method, which has the purpose, a more accurate and proper perspective of reality.
The Photography has origins far and its old path opens through numerous experiments in optics, careful observation related to a particular astronomical phenomenon which the solar eclipse and a need related to reproduction perspective in the field of ’ art and architecture.
In its form, a darkroom is equivalent to a dark room, where, on a wall, it presents a small hole (pinhole) from which the light which penetrates, on the opposite wall, projecting the image upside down and laterally reversed, this all- ’exterior. This physical process, already known by the Arabs in the Middle Ages and even mentioned by Aristotle and later taken up by Leonardo da Vinci was an important discovery, and the starting point of a process aimed at achieving improvements and more accurate solutions in the field of play images.
The pinhole camera produces blurry images, because the light rays coming from the subject diverge and create small circles.
The sharpness, although not excellent, covers all framed objects, creating an unlimited depth of field.

My photographic interest ranging from reportage to landscape and driven by curiosity and instinct I direct my gaze on many subjects, creating collections and micro stories.

Photography is tradition, is a document of our lives, is the artistic language. Owning an evocative image of our recent past, it is a pleasure that reminds us how photography original work, subject to collect.
Thanks to the precise composition and the expertise of post-production and / or darkroom each print purchased becomes unique.
My photographs are dedicated to photography lovers, collectors and those who intend to have an evocative image in which to find the atmosphere of places and landscapes that have been lost or transformed by time. Each photograph printed looks only, as a precious work, special, destined to sustainable over time.
