Maggie brings together nature and modern aesthetics to create unique ceramic sculpture and home décor. Fascinated by colors, textures, and patterns, her work integrates inspiration from sunsets, succulent plants, rippling sand, and ocean waves. In 1999, she received a BA in Art History from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and went on to work at The New Yorker magazine and receive a Master of International Studies from the University of Sydney. For the next 10 years, she traveled the world as a humanitarian worker, but the call of the arts brought her to the Torpedo Factory Art Center in Alexandria, Virginia to study ceramics. Since then, she has been diligently exploring ceramic glazes and textures. In the Fall of 2014, she opened a gallery and studio in Asheville, North Carolina’s River Arts District. In March 2016, she showcased her work at the American Craft Show in Atlanta.
