Description A portrait of Abbey, an Airedale Terrier. The original was done for a United Way charity silent auction. The original was 24'x18', using ETAC acrylic paint with an airbrush. The top inch of the painting is all invented, as the top of the left ear was cut off in the reference photo. Are you interested in having a portrait of your pet done? Michael Burt, Thousand Oaks, CA Member Since January 2007 Artist Statement Gorilla Airbrush is located in Thousand Oaks, California. I am Michael Burt, creative artist and illustrator. I currently specialize in doing animal portraiture, but I can create realistic reproductions of anything where I have a reference to work from. As an avid underwater videographer and photographer, my self indulgent art tends towards images that include underwater themes. I am available for making creative artwork from scratch as well as making reproductions and improvements to photos.
I can do paintings and illustrations on any non-automotive substrate. As examples, I can paint on:
o T-Shirts (any color)
o Neoprene wetsuits
o Gear bags
o And many more surfaces...
If you want it painted, contact me and feel free to ask. I primarily use an airbrush with acrylic paints, which can generally adhere to anything with proper preparation and clearcoating. Based on my workspace, I can not do appropriate clearcoats for all surfaces, I will let you know if you will be responsible for getting a clearcoat separately. I am able to work with brush, pencil, and pen and ink as well.
I am not a full time artist, contracts are done strictly on a first come first served basis. Lead times and prices for custom pieces will vary based on the request and materials required.
