Leslie Harlow, Park City, Utah Member Since March 2007 Artist Statement When I see a living space without art, the space seems to be an empty shell and the space has no humanity or personality. Pouring imagination out onto a surface is such a great form of expression and a great way to connect.
How I became an artist: I started out drawing when I was very young and the rest is history. I drew portraits at first. In my teens I would heading out to a park with a sketchpad and do studies of trees. I studied perspective an drew buildings. Painting has come later. Drawing is intricate, so with paint and color I love to go wild.
At first I wanted to separate being a visual artist from my image as a professional classical violist, but I finally decided use my own name for my graphic design business on Cafepress and Zazzle, not anticipating that it would do so well. Now there are more than 8,000 designs uploaded and selling.
