Artist Statement Eric is a an artist living in Northwest Montana. Tour our site. You will find information about Eric's artwork.

Eric's work is featured worldwide in publications and TV. Major corporations, celebrities and private collectors enthusiastically collect his sculptures. Sales of his work has generated millions of dollars in contributions to non profit organizations. Cyndy Thorsen manages our galleries and staff. We have 10,000 square feet of studio & gallery open to the public in our main gallery and studio. We also have galleries or works on display in other parts of USA. Tours of Eric's studio are available

Eric's subjects are diverse, focused on human and animal sculptures. Our main gallery is located in Bigfork, Montana, a beautiful town just an hour south of Glacier International Park. The main gallery is open to the public. A few examples of Eric's international award winning wood carvings are on display there. One of Eric's studios is located across the street from the gallery in a 100 year old building with lots of space and high ceilings! We run tours through this studio. We have also developed a sculpture park in downtown Bigfork to display outdoor sculptures. Visitors enjoy a view of Flathead Lake as well as a fountain in the middle of downtown Bigfork.

Eric started by carving fish in wood. In the beginning of his career at 24 he won Best in World with his wood sculpture called "Mystery of the Redd". Soon after he was introduced to clay and the real excitement began. He soon began producing literally hundreds of clay sculptures to be cast in bronze. His sculptures are highly acclaimed, winning him awards and honors nationwide.

We have had our gallery in Montana since 1993. We continue to expand. Eric has 3 working studios in the Flathead valley and one in Illinois. Our gallery in Whitefish, Montana is scheduled to be opened in November of 2005. Instead of working with many galleries as common in the art business we sell most of Eric's work directly to collectors. This gives us a personal communication with our collectors.

Eric's primary studio is 6500 square feet, located across the street from our main gallery in downtown Bigfork. Here visitors can view him at work during our guided tours. Eric also maintains a public studio located in the gallery for viewing anytime during business hours.Eric needs more than photographs to create his works. His photographic Imagination is his source for his inspiration. Eric learns the anatomy and personality of the subject to begin a project.
