Angel Morton, Philadelphia Member Since June 2009 Artist Statement Angel Morton, 39 year old freelance / concert photographer out of Philadelphia. I grew up in small town USA (Independence, Kansas).
I use two Canon DSLR’s and the proper lenses and travel throughout the Mid-Atlantic shooting both regional and national acts at various venues and festivals. I’ve been the official photographer for Richmond’s 102.1 The X and Alex Band’s Donate Life – as well as servings as the personal photographer for multiple bands at Washington D.C.’s ShamROCK Fest. My photos have been featured in various music publications and blogs as well as on multiple artists websites (Will Hoge, Honor By August, Carbon Leaf, etc) and the cover for Saiah’s “So Much To Say” Ep.
Besides my work as a concert photographer, I have served as the production photographer for a pilot television show, Bulletproof and have began work as a fashion photographer with models from Model Mayhem. I am also starting to venture out as a wedding photographer. While I enjoy taking the standard wedding portraits, I love it when couples and guests let loose in front of the camera and ham it up!
I also enjoy freelance and fine art photography. I spend my free time shooting urban and decayed parts of cities and finding the inner beauty in what most people call “eye sores”. I can also be found shooting skaters and surfers and any other athlete that doesn’t mind being in front of the camera.
