Artist Statement Creativity . . . It Runs in the Family!


From a very early age I was surrounded by beautiful things and a sense of culture thanks to my mom. Always very creative and with a flair to make something beautiful out of nothing, she taught all 3 of us kids to appreciate the little things in life. I guess being a window dresser had something to do with this!


I started my "professional" art career when I was about 12 years old selling greeting cards I created with my thumbprint and a pen in my mom's consignment store in Long Beach, CA. I didn't make much money but I remember being fascinated that people thought my talent to make little people from fingerprints was indeed worthy of a price! 

It took me many years of waitressing, secretarial and tax work before I realized I could actually make a living doing something creative and went to school to become a graphic artist.

With 17+ years in the field as a Graphic Designer, I bring ad agency, marketing and photography experience to my art. 


I recently retired from a well-loved local Long Beach newspaper and moved to Florida! I look forward to exploring my new found home and doing more traveling abroad with my Trusty camera and Crusty Italian husband to bring a fresh and whimsical touch to the people, places and things this big world has to offer!
