Artist Statement I can compare my art work to a garden with a large variety of plants mainly because of the seasons that I have had experienced. First of all, I started off in the "seedling years" by using coloring crayons.

After the seedling years, came the "pupa" stage that is when the seed starts to sprout while it is in the ground. My "pupa" period was when I started to use a small tray of watercolors, tempera paints, and water-based markers which were added to my ability to continue my use of wax crayons.

When I had reached the age of ten, I started to paint with oils where were the paint-by-number sets that I have received as gifts. I can still call this my "pupa" season but in more of the second stage. I was still doing some artwork while I was in the elementary, middle school, and high school years.

The "sprouting" season began when I was studying art in College in the area of Graphic Design..
