Mary Lou Kuipers
Born in Toronto, I have been painting ever since I was a little girl. I
graduated with a specialized honours degree in Visual Arts from York
University in 1980.
I view my artistic work as a means of capturing the many moods of Canada's
wilderness and rural landscapes. I am a semi-retired banker, and now have
the time to devote to the love of my life: painting the natural landscapes
of northern Ontario. My current work is inspired by the area around my
in-laws' home on Lake Kamaniskeg and the Madawaska and Algonquin regions.
The medium is acrylic on canvas, using the vivid colors of nature to
capture the true beauty of our Canadian landscapes.
