"The artist's words [above] provide an instructive point of entry into this four-decade survey of Mitzi Humphrey's prints and related works. In reviewing the results of her creative investigations from 1955 through 1999, it is fascinating to note the persistent recurrence of certain formal strategies and thematic interests.
