Artist's Statement:
For me the artistic process in photography is not one of creation, but of recognition. Firing the shutter will only present a map, it's still up to me to discover (in post-production) the direction the piece wishes to follow. As with all things in life there will emerge a balance point and that's where my destination will present itself.
Regarding the raw imagery, I prefer to shoot within the hours of either daybreak or dusk, as that affords me the quality of light I feel is most evocative. It's here, in these hours of light, and in laying aside the noise...

In terms of composition I am greatly inspired by the cinema and always try to convey the experience of film within a single frame, capturing an image that tells a complete story. I therefore present the majority of my work in "widescreen" or landscape format.
