The first time I picked up a camera, I was probably about 10 years old. My dad was into photography back then and I used to traipse around after him. Now, my husband is into photography and I have taken to traipsing around after him as well. But we see the world differently, and although we are often in the same place at the same time, our work is rather different. I enjoy taking the mundane and turning it into art, seeing things that others just haven't noticed. All sorts of things catch my eye these days, from beautiful buildings to overflowing skips to abandoned kebabs.

For me, photography is about capturing a moment in time. Even something as strong and seemingly solid as a tree changes if just one leaf falls from it. Drawings and paintings just cannot capture continuity and change in the way that photography can. Essentially, I am documenting everyday life, right now, as I see it in all its glory, and all its banality.
I'll be adding more images soon, but in the meantime please visit my Flickr account to see what else I've been up to.
Thanks for visiting.
