Description First inhabited around 500 A.D., Wupatki (which translates to 'tall house' in Hopi) is situated about 40 minutes north of Flagstaff, Arizona. A once thriving community, the region was abandoned around 1225 A.D. due to environmental changes. Today, visitors can take a step back in time and explore the ruins of this once flourishing community. Find out more here: www.nps.gov/wupa/index.htmStacked image.Canon 750D.EF-S24mm f/2.8 STMISO 800
