Description North Carolina Appalachian Blue Ridge Mountains - Misty Mountain Melody Spring catawba rhododendron flowers blooming along the Appalachian Trail in western North Carolina and Eastern Tennessee. I was blessed to witness this amazing sunset as some heavy fog rolling through the area lifted just in time along my favorite section of the Appalachian Trail near Roan Mountain, TN. I really liked how the mountains were somewhat obscured behind the rolling fog, giving only a hint at the beauty which lies beyond. Your Faves and Comments are appreciated! Hope you enjoy it :)
