Description By the time we got to Tioga Lake in Yosemite National Park, it was past three and mid-afternoon sun wasn't exactly providing the best lighting conditions. I have a fun new filter in my bag ready to solve that problem though! A 10-stop ND filter. Woah, nelly. This is a 30-second exposure in broad daylight!A 10-stop neutral density filter is extreme. It's just like a normal neutral density filter, but a black hole-esque monster that reduces the amount of light reaching the camera sensor by 1000x. It's insane. Even in the brightest light, seeing through the viewfinder is all but impossible so I had to compose the shot, then screw on my filter.I shot a 30-second exposure in broad daylight! The result is a uniquely beautiful view of Yosemite. A phantasmic dream of a landscape, really. This photograph is 'straight out of the box' as they say, with minor edits to tidy up a bit.I hope you like it as much as I do!
