Description My son snapped a picture of this tiger at the Chicago zoo. I asked to do a painting of it as soon as I saw it. I created my own background including two trees I had photographed because they appealed to me. Acrylic on canvas board, 24x30. $350.00 for original.
Cindy Beck, Lebanon Member Since June 2007 Artist Statement i have always loved horses. ok...maybe obsessed is a better word. in addition to being involved with horses for the past forty seven years, i sketched and painted them in my spare time[i even doodled them every where]. my work has evolved into capturing the life and spirit of the beautiful creature we call horse. i work mostly in pastels and acrylics but have also used mixed media to get certain effects.
my buddy icon is a grooming brush i painted. there are about fifty of them across the country in tack boxes or on shelves. the miniatures i painted on these brushes were my most popular item.
although i can no longer ride due to arthritis coupled with thyroid triggered obesity [grr] i can still create my own stable of horses on paper or canvas.
i am teaching at the lebanon valley council of the arts this summer starting june 22 on tuesdays. classes for children and for adults. contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org or the council at email@example.com
