Liz James, Bath Member Since June 2011 Artist Statement I work with homeless people by day and explore The People In My Head by night.
My images and my mind: hidden identity, masking the truth, domestic abuse, shop windows, human emotions, the human condition, exploitation, objectification, Miss. Marple, china teacups, weird dolls, hilarity, finding the fabulous in the mundane, Dr. Who, death and all things in between.
I have a BA Hons in Fine Art but have only ever used art as free therapy. I find it hard to pidgeon hole myself or my art as I get bored easily and am forever trying to find something else to distract myself with.
I have two teenage sons who say "weird" in my general direction a lot, I am very untidy and have written a book which I find absolutely hilarious. I eat too much so am overweight, I laugh too loudly and cry too often.
