Artist Statement All the artworks displayed in my gallery are done by my mother, Xiang Li, who is one of the best-known artists in China. She worked at the Forbidden City in Beijing (also known as The Palace Museum) for over 30 years. Her paintings have been displayed in museums around the world. Her career took off when she completed one of the most significant collections known to modern Chinese art, the 413 characters from the novel "Dream of the Red Chamber" which she painted from 1974 to 1984. Today, she continues to fulfill her passion as an artist and teacher. Her next series of paintings will feature ancient Chinese empresses.
