Artist Statement Marat was born in 1957 in Moscow, Russia. A teen he joined an actor school and finally found himself starring in a movie about soviet sailors. Some of the movies followed when Marat decided to give up his career of an actor. He joined an army where he was appointed an artist and Marat spent two years creating posters, portraits of Lenin etc.
Marat graduated from Theatrical academy in Moscow and even was thinking to go on with opera singing as his teachers in the academy liked his voice but he moved to a small town instead to start working as an actor in a local theater. After a few years Marat left theater and got back to painting. When he was younger he had completed his studies at arts school and actually he kept painting through all his life so he just emphasized on that this time. He spent some time in The UK and Elbrus where he found inspiration for his paintings.
He started being exhibited and gained some attention.
Nowadays Marat is writing his books and exhibits his works. He has two daughters.
