Artist Statement "Photography is recognizing the Moment and being able to capture the moment, as we experience it through our perceptions and senses. Seeing what is, what is not, and what can be. Photography is paying close attention to detail and learning a little bit more about ourselves, the people and objects around us, and the world we live in, as we know it. Photography is- appreciating the beauty of what we can see and our ability to translate this beauty to others. Through all of this, photography is preserving history."

My name is John Hunnicutt II and I have been doing amateur photography since 1991. I moved to Tucson, AZ. in 1986 when I was 13 years old, on the drive here I envisioned a dry desalinate sand box with a lack of color.
To my surprise the desert can be and is a very beautiful place to live, such colors and designs in the sunsets. The views, the canyons, the mountains, the wildlife, the violent storms; give such life and beauty to the desert.
