Artist Statement Preserving a lifetime of memories, one photograph at a time. Remote/Natural Light Photographer

Enthusiastic Photographer, wife, and Mama to two grown boys. I don’t like to be called a professional, it sounds too impersonal, and photography is very intimate and involves not just the eyes, but the soul. If it becomes like a business then it’s time to back up, regroup and either start over or quit.I love shooting everything, I started out with flowers, wildlife, old rusty nails in boards and graduated to humans after I figured out that I could find everyone’s “light”, and project it onto a photograph. From my eye, to my heart, to my fingers, to the photograph, to the viewers eye.I live in Georgia, an excellent place to be a photographer and utilize all the beauty God has bestowed. I’ve had no formal training, other than books and a very special mentor, who believes in me, who not only offers compliments but also gives me honesty about my photography. My husband, who is not only my best friend, but is my greatest fan, and is patient and goes out of his way to get me in the right spots at the right times.I love photography. It’s my therapy. And everyone should do what they love, not just hobbies, but lasso their passions and use them for the good of themselves.
As a photographer, I know I have captured a timeless shot when it brings tears to my eyes, but the ultimate compliment is when a client sees the images that you captured for them and it brings tears to their eyes.
