Description We are all bone and sinew, and flickers of electrical activity across wiring of nerves. We are not so different from dogs and dolphins, or one another. From a photograph of bones in the Kutna Hora ossuary in Sedlec, the Czech Republic. Mandala and photograph by Ace Medlock.
Sue Tinney, Snohomish (Seattle) Member Since April 2008 Artist Statement Sculpture being my main focus, I've found that pushing pixels and vectors can be just as deeply satisfying. Much of my print work begins with photography, and I use methods much like sculpture, collage, and painting to create images beyond nature. I also love working in new mediums, so you'll also find original paintings reproduced here. I'm the visual artist for the bands Gaia Consort and Bone Poets Orchestra; you'll find a gallery here devoted for the most part to the work inspired by Christopher Bingham's musical work.
Raised on the Olympic Peninsula in the temperate rainforests of the Hoh and Quinault valleys and the beautiful ocean beach at Kalaloch, I have a great love and respect for nature, which inspires much of my work.
