Artist Statement Leslie Stark was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, surrounded by Washington’s mountains, beaches and lakes. Her paintings are often inspired by colors in the natural environment, and her background in music. As a classically trained singer, she finds parallels in painting with harmonies of color, light, and texture. Her intuitive and completely free process often results in happy accidents.
