Description I have always found the aquatic world fascinating, it seems almost unworldly and so rarely seen by human eye. As a keen naturalist pond life is essential to a balanced habitat and the preservation of many species, one of which is the Smooth Newt. On a late April day when observing the many frogs inhabiting the pond at this time of the year, I was pleasantly surprised to see a congregation of newts gathering. Seemingly appearing from the depths of the pond they journeyed up towards the surface following each other as they made their way up. Thus inspiring 'A Journey to Another World' shaped from the depths of the underwater world.
