Description On Christmas Eve in rural Nova Scotia, a lone light shines past midnight in a home as parents decorate the Christmas tree and place the gifts to surprise their children with 'Santa's arrival' on Christmas morning. My inspiration for this image : On Christmas Eve when I was a child in White's Lake, Nova Scotia, our parents would rush my brother Ricky and I to bed. It was the the family custom the Christmas tree be decorated on Christmas Eve and not a minute before. Ricky and I would wake up and run to the living room, beholding a fully decorated Christmas tree with toys & gifts under the tree. This were not there when we went to bed. We believed it was the magic of Santa Claus that made it all happen. We jubilantly begged our sleepy parents to wake up, wondering why they were so reluctant to leave their comfy bed, not knowing Mom & Dad had a very late night making all the magic happen.
